It’s called “social proof.” Basically, when we’re unsure about what to do, we look at what other people are doing and follow along. That’s why:

  • A long line outside a café makes it feel worth trying

  • Products labeled “Best Seller” get snapped up faster

  • Even random videos with high views seem more interesting

What’s wild is how often we make decisions this way — from what we buy to what we watch, even how we behave in public.
